Rolls Royce AX/201

Rolls-Royce is marking the 101st anniversary of its founders’ “unprecedented of its time and legendary to this day” endurance record. In 1907, Charles Rolls, Claude Johnson, and Sir Henry Royce used the original Silver Ghost to travel the distance of 14,371 miles (23,127 kilometers) without stop, a success immediately recognized by the world’s media.

Today, to celebrate the record run, the British luxury marque is launching the special Silver Ghost Collection, based on the 2018 Ghost and strictly limited to only 35 units.

Rolls-Royce has announced the Silver Ghost Collection, featuring 35 special Ghosts built at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex.

Up front there will be an unmistakable solid sterling silver Spirit of Ecstasy, with a specially created hallmark of “AX201,” the registration plate of the original Silver Ghost. That mark will be found on the base of the Spirit of Ecstasy, done by the British Assay office, an honor reserved for few. At the base of the Spirit of Ecstasy will be a black-gold-plated collar, while the exterior body is covered in Cassiopeia Silver, a complex silver paint that incorporates both warm and cool tones.
